Stellar Beacon Survey

Effective date: 2026-10-06

This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.

Information we process

Stellar Beacon Survey stores puzzle charts, scan journals, move history, completion times, medals, daily challenge dates, cached level configurations and preferences locally on your device. A random 32-byte installation secret is created automatically and kept in the device Keychain. The app does not ask for an account, name, email address or location. When online, it requests public campaign configurations and daily puzzles using the selected zone or UTC date. Your game history is not uploaded. The installation secret is sent in an HTTPS header only when confirming deletion of installation data. The validation endpoint processes submitted puzzle configurations in memory. Our Railway-hosted service and its network infrastructure receive requests and may process IP addresses, request times, paths, response status and connection diagnostics. The application server does not create request logs containing headers, secrets or game history. No analytics, advertising or social SDKs are included.

How we use information

Local storage lets you resume a survey, undo moves, revisit discoveries, keep settings and play offline. Online requests deliver and validate public puzzle content. The installation header authorizes an own-installation deletion request; the current service stores no installation records or personal game history. Optional local notifications remind you about the daily challenge. Infrastructure processes network information to deliver, secure and operate the service.

Service providers and sharing

Railway hosts the application backend and can process infrastructure request and connection information as our hosting provider. Apple iOS provides the on-device Keychain, local storage and local notification services. The app does not use remote push notifications, third-party analytics, advertising networks or outbound email services. Game history is not shared with the backend or other players. We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed if necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation.

Data retention

Local progress, discovery records, cached configurations and preferences remain on your device until you reset progress, remove app data or uninstall the app. Reset preserves your display and sound preferences and removes game records. The installation secret is retained in Keychain and may survive an uninstall according to iOS behavior; it is not a recovery account. The backend does not persist validation submissions, installation records or game history and has no database or application-managed backups of those records. Hosting infrastructure log retention is governed by Railway configuration and policies; we do not assert a fixed duration for infrastructure logs. Device backups, if enabled, are controlled by your Apple settings and may retain local app data separately from the running app.

Deleting your information

Use Settings → Reset all progress to permanently remove active charts and atlas records from this device. The app also sends an authenticated deletion request using its installation secret. Because this backend stores no installation records, it confirms that zero such records remain; this does not erase infrastructure logs or Apple-managed device backups. If offline, the app records the pending confirmation and allows a retry when connected. To remove remaining app preferences, delete the app and manage any device backups separately in iOS settings. You can contact dfffff1233334444@gmail.com with a privacy request; do not include your installation secret.

Permissions and your choices

No location, camera, microphone, photos or contacts access is requested. Notifications are optional and requested only when you enable the daily reminder. The reminder is scheduled locally at 19:00 device time. Turn it off in the app or withdraw notification permission in iOS Settings at any time. Withdrawal does not affect puzzle play. Internet requests require no additional iOS permission dialog.

Your privacy rights

You can access your local puzzle history in the atlas, change language and preferences, disable notifications and delete local progress in Settings. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information. Contact dfffff1233334444@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. Since there is no account and we do not store your game history, we cannot restore it on another device or identify local records through an email address. Do not send installation secrets or private device credentials. You may also contact your relevant data protection authority where such rights apply.

Security

The deployed API uses HTTPS. The installation secret is generated using the system cryptographic random source, stored in a device-only Keychain item and transmitted in a header rather than in a URL. There are no shared client credentials or public endpoints for private game records. Inputs and payload sizes are validated on the server. Local progress is stored in the app sandbox with atomic writes. These measures reduce risk but no storage or network system can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

This logic game is intended for players aged 16 and older. It does not include accounts, advertising, purchases or features designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information through a privacy request, contact dfffff1233334444@gmail.com so we can review it.

Changes to this policy
